Leslie Susanna has been teaching Elementary since 2000. She previously taught casa and lower elementary at two other prestigious Montessori schools in Aurora. In addition to her in-class work, Leslie has run after-school tutoring programs for groups and individuals throughout the years.

On a daily basis she strives for a classroom with tolerance, communication and camaraderie. Parents are welcomed with an open door policy and Leslie ensures that they are involved with holiday craft projects throughout the year. Her students past and present still rave about her end-of-the-year parties which have been known to rattle the walls of M L Montessori.

Leslie has received her teaching certificates for Casa, Lower and Upper Elementary from the Toronto Montessori Institute. Leslie is a graduate of York University and Humber College. She has her BA in Psychology and an honours diploma in Early Childhood Education. Leslie also has full CPR training. Besides her formal training, Leslie has attended many workshops geared towards children with behavioural needs. This has served Leslie well in her professional and private life.

Leslie is such a staunch supporter of the Montessori philosophy that her three children have all been Montessori students at one point in their education. Her dream has always been to be an educator and this has come true at M L Montessori. Her love of educating young minds can be seen and felt on a daily basis in her classroom. You can see the joy in her students’ eyes.
